Book Your Session
You've decided to show up. That's the hardest part, and you've already done it.
Here's how it works: your $300 session fee reserves your date and covers everything from our first conversation to your final gallery. It's your commitment to the experience — and mine to you.
After your session, you'll receive access to your private gallery. That's when you'll choose your collection.
Already know what you want? You can pre-purchase your collection or images below and have everything settled before your session day.

20 Digital Images — $2,000
10 Digital Images — $1,400

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most sessions run 60 to 90 minutes. I build in enough time for us to settle in, try a few different looks, and not feel rushed. You'll never feel like I'm watching the clock.
-
Most portrait sessions take place at my studio in Northampton, which gives us a controlled, comfortable environment and plenty of options for light and setting. If you're booking a brand or headshot session and have a specific location in mind — your office, a favorite local spot, a space that reflects your work — we can absolutely take it on location. Just mention it when you reach out and we'll talk through what makes sense. Some portrait clients also prefer an outdoor or meaningful location, and I'm open to that conversation too.
-
Start with how you want to feel, not just how you want to look. Think about what you'll wear: pieces you love, that fit well, and that feel like you right now. Bring a few options if you're not sure. Beyond that: get good sleep the night before, eat something the morning of, and arrive knowing that there's no wrong way to do this. I'll guide you through every moment.
-
That's entirely up to you. Some clients come camera-ready, others keep it natural. If you're considering professional hair and makeup, I'm happy to share recommendations for artists I love working with in the area.
-
Yes — and you're not alone in feeling that way. Most of my clients say the same thing before we start. My job is to create an experience where you can actually relax and be yourself. We'll move at your pace, and I'll give you direction the whole time so you're never standing there wondering what to do with your hands.

Your private gallery will be ready approximately two weeks after your session. You'll receive an email with your gallery link and instructions for making your collection selections.
-
Absolutely — and if you already know you want the full gallery or have a sense of how many images you're after, you're welcome to make that decision ahead of time. Just reach out at hello@nikkigardnerstudio.com before booking or right after and I'll send you a simple invoice through Stripe to lock it in. Your session fee and your collection purchase are handled separately, so there's no pressure to decide on the spot — but if you're ready, we can take care of it early and you can walk into your session knowing everything is settled. This is also a lovely option for parents who want to gift a collection as part of the senior portrait experience.
-
Once you've made your selections, your digital files will be delivered within one week. If you've ordered matted fine art prints, those have a separate production timeline and I'll share that with you at the time of ordering.
-
Absolutely. A supportive person in your corner can make a real difference. Just know that the session works best when the energy stays calm and encouraging — so choose your plus-one wisely.

Life happens. I ask for at least 48 hours notice to reschedule your session. Your session fee is transferable to a new date but is non-refundable.
